Digital & Social Content Coordinator
Overview
This position has been filled for the 2024 SFFILM Festival.
The Digital & Social Content Coordinator supports the content management and launch of the 2024 San Francisco International Film Festival (SFFILM Festival) website and social media content to promote the Festival. In collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Digital Content Manager, the Digital & Social Content Coordinator will support the updating of sffilm.org to its Festival environment from start to finish, then shift to social media content creation and posting. This role executes against project plans, marketing campaigns, creative briefs, style guides, and editorial guidelines.
This position is ideal for an early career digital marketing professional who has helped organizations update and maintain their website and has an excellent sense of owned and paid digital content. Weekly time in the SFFILM offices and at events will be required, so Bay Area based candidates are required.
This is a seasonal position with a start date of February 19, 2024 and an end date of May 2, 2024. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week and is paid hourly at the rate of $25 per hour and is eligible for limited, pre-approved overtime. Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the SFFILM Communications team on all marketing project plans and campaigns in service of revenue and engagement goals.
- Adhere to project budget, scope, schedule, resources, and approval workflows.
- Comply with legal requirements related to publishing approvals, copyrights, trademarks, photo credits, clearances, and privacy.
- In collaboration with the Digital Content Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, prepare reports on identified Social Media KPIs.

- Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure the timely and accurate import of over 100 films’ metadata into WordPress.
- Collaborate with the digital team to ensure quality control of UTMs, Google Analytics reporting, SEO, and ad campaign timing.
- Support information gathering to build and price each film’s screening in our ticketing platform.
- Work with the Guest Office to launch the Festival guest portal in Squarespace.
- Collaborate with the Press Office Coordinator to ensure that each film’s assets and press materials are accessible to Press in a timely manner.
- Social Media:
- Post visual content and copy onto social media channels to drive audience engagement and festival ticket sales using SFFILM brand voice and tone.
- Proofread all social media materials and ensures compliance with SFFILM brand across all internal- and external-facing social content related to the Festival.
- Create, distribute, and track usage of social media toolkits.
- Monitor social channels to respond to and assist with customer support as needed, reshare partner and user generated content, and look for other opportunities to increase our presence.
- Monitor news, current events, and partners’ content to propose timely, relevant social media content and tactics.
- Attend events to capture photos, video, and live-tweet/cast as assigned.
- Work with Digital Content Manager to maintain editorial and social media calendars with accurate information.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional CMS management experience, WordPress preferred.
- 1+ year of database management experience. FileMaker preferred.
- Superb leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including those involving: word processing, spreadsheets, PDF creation, photo and graphic editing, google docs.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a bonus.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Solid copywriting skills.
- Mobile phone photo and video skills.
- Experience with publishing on all major social media channels.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple campaigns across social channels.
- Ability to anticipate changes, communicate promptly and efficiently and maintain flexibility.
- Experience with digital tools for content and project management including MailChimp, Basecamp, Planoly, and Google Apps.
- Logical and analytical approach to critical thinking and problem solving.

Press Office Coordinator
Overview
The Communications team at SFFILM is seeking a detail-oriented Press Office Coordinator for the 2024 San Francisco International Film Festival. The Press Office Coordinator is responsible for coordination and administrative support of all activities of the Press Office leading up to and during the SFFILM Festival, primarily focused on supporting the earned media strategy and accredited media logistics. This role will serve as a connection between the systems and content from the Communications and Programming teams and our Publicity team. This position reports to SFFILM’s Director of External Relations.
This role will be expected to work from our SOMA office 2 to 3 days per week depending on department needs. Some night and weekend availability is required, especially during the SFFILM Festival (April 24 – 28). Onsite availability at Bay Area venues is expected April 22 – 28.

- Manage local media accreditation process (100~ applications), including outlet review/investigation, communication of approval/denial, and credential production.
- Manage email communication with film teams, studios, and distributors around press access for screeners and other press materials.
- In collaboration with the Digital Content Manager, collect, organize, and process press materials for all SFFILM exhibition programs, including screeners, images, press kits, and clips.
- Lead setup of press download site on SFFILM.org and Dropbox, including upload of 200+ individual assets for rolling program announcements.
- Collaborate with PR team on materials processing and coverage tracking.
- Manage screener checkout system for press per Programming team’s instructions.
- Facilitate setup of interview space.
- Copyedit and route press release drafts for SFFILM programs as needed.
- Work screenings, events, red carpets, and receptions as needed.
- In collaboration with the Publicity, Programming, and Guest Office teams, support coordination, communication, and execution of talent movements between arrival, press, receptions/dinners, onstage, and departure for Festival events.
- Support integration of any talent prep needs into pre-event communications with SFFILM Guest Office, PR team, and Event Producer.
- Write and submit a wrap report.

- Ability to wrangle and organize thousands of individual assets (images, press kits, bios, video files, screening links) in a coherent and accessible manner.
