Writer/Director Sanford Jenkins

Sanford Jenkins is an Oakland-based artist and filmmaker. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he earned a BA at Morehouse College and an MFA at USC Cinema. His award-winning shorts have played at international festivals including BlackStar, Camerimage, and Palm Springs, and have been supported by BAMPFA, Topic Studios, and Vimeo. Sanford is a recipient of a 2017 DGA Student Film Award for A Craftsman, and a 2019 mentorship through the Half Television Directing Program. He is currently developing the narrative feature Joy and Pain, supported by Film Independent, IFP, and SFFILM.

Producer Sue-Ellen Chitunya

Lydia “Sue-Ellen” Chitunya is a Zimbabwean filmmaker. She is a graduate of Georgia State and UCLA’s professional producing program. She is a member of the Academy and a Roger and Chaz Ebert Foundation Fellow. Chitunya has participated in artist programs with Women In Film, Industry Academy, Rotterdam, Durban, Film Independent, Berlinale, Cannes, Caribbean Tales, and Kyoto Filmmakers Lab. Chitunya has produced several shorts that have screened internationally, and has worked with the Disney College Program, the Zimbabwe, Atlanta and Slamdance Film Festivals, and Marvel Studios.
