SFFILM Presents: Special Preview Screening of Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman,’ November 5 at the Castro Theatre

Director Martin Scorsese will Give a Special Introduction
to His Highly Anticipated Fall Release at this Advance Screening

San Francisco, CA – SFFILM will present a special pre-release screening of master storyteller Martin Scorsese’s much-anticipated upcoming crime epic The Irishman, Tuesday, November 5, 7:00 pm at the Castro Theatre (429 Castro Street). This early look at the major fall title will be preceded by a special introduction by Martin Scorsese.

“We could not be more honored to welcome back Martin Scorsese to present his latest epic,” said SFFILM Director of Programming Rachel Rosen, “Seeing this sweeping masterwork in our historic movie palace in the presence of its master filmmaker is sure to be an unforgettable experience and a rare treat.”

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

Tickets to this screening of The Irishman are $20 for SFFILM members, $25 for the general public. Box office is open to SFFILM members now online at sffilm.org and opens for the general public 10:00 am Wednesday, October 16.
