What are the system requirements to watch Awards Night?

Here are the recommended system requirements for watching on these devices:

  • PC: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
  • Mac: Mac OS X 10.12 or later
  • Recommended Web Browser: Use the newest version of Google Chrome. Do NOT use: Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Internet Explorer.
  • iPhone/iPad: iOS 11.2 or newer, using Safari or Chrome

What is the best viewing experience?

We recommend watching Awards Night on your laptop and using Chrome as your browser.

Can I use my SFFILM Member login for the Roku or Apple TV “SFFILM at Home” app?

No, your login credentials for the Roku or Apple TV apps are different from your credentials for SFFILM.org. Ticket holders must enter the 9-digit code that is generated when you click “Stream Film”. If you are a Doc Stories passholder, you will be emailed your login credentials on December 3rd when the Doc Stories program launches.

How do I pair my Apple TV app with my passholder login?

Download the “SFFILM” app on your Apple TV. Once you are in the Apple TV app, you will see an option to sign in as a passholder. Click on that, and you can “pair” your TV with your computer using by navigating to www.watch.sffilm.org/pair and signing in using your credentials, or sign in directly on the Apple TV app.

Can I cast from my iPad/iPhone to my TV using screen-mirroring?

No. iPad & iPhone iOS doesn’t support playback of encrypted video through screen-mirroring.
