Nanfu Wang’s fourth feature film meticulously documents the origin and spread of COVID-19 throughout 2020. With on-the-ground footage and stirring first-person interviews, the documentary is a scathing rebuke of mismanagement, misinformation, and failed leadership in the US and China. Weaving together a full picture of the collective trauma emanating from this global pandemic, the film is also an ode to the resiliency of the human spirit in the face of the unimaginable.

Nanfu Wang is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker whose work includes Hooligan Sparrow (2016), the winner of a Film Independent Spirit Truer Than Fiction Award; I Am Another You (2017); Out of Many, One (2018), a short; and One Child Nation (2019).
