What stage does this support?

The New American Fellowship supports feature-length projects at any stage of development, from research through post-production.

Do Narrative or Documentary Films qualify?

Each year, the New American Fellowship supports EITHER a documentary or narrative film. In 2021 we are only considering applicants with documentary films in development.

Who qualifies for the New American grant?

o be eligible for the New American fellowship, you must be born outside the United States and have only been living in the U.S. for the last 10 years or less. The goal of the grant is to offer financial and mentorship support for recently immigrated filmmakers looking to further a feature-length film in development.

How can I vote for the Audience Award?

Vote for the Audience Award by using the star rating system on watch.sffilm.org, with 5 stars being the best. For Mid-length and Shorts programs, click the link to be taken to the online ballot. Voting for Mid-length and Shorts programs is only available directly on watch.sffilm.org (not available on TV apps.)
