Exploring transformational stories of incarceration through filmmaking
These three films What These Walls Won’t Hold, How We Get Free, and Sol in the Garden tell the perspective of people affected by incarceration and the driving need for freedom and connection in and outside of prison walls. This study guide is intended to support educators in leading conversations with students about the justice system and positive transformation and offers activities centered around youth empowerment.
