Description

Take a deep dive into the world of science fiction writing. In this workshop for young women writers, join Nicole Perlman, screenwriter of Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel, as she explores the characters and themes that inhabit the intergalactic world. Perlman, the first-ever woman to write a Marvel Studios film, will talk about her career and process in this workshop designed for young women interested in genre writing. Learn the basic building blocks of what makes a great science fiction story, and how Perlman built her career in writing in this engaging, interactive, and informative workshop for girls. Participants will have the opportunity to speak with Perlman about their story or comic ideas for response and feedback.

This workshop is designed for young women interested in writing. Students are encouraged to bring their story ideas to the workshop for feedback. Designed for young women finishing grades 6–12.
