Tonko House Holiday Screening & Curiosity Workshop

Tonko House artists Ryan Matias, Lia Tin, and JJ Song will participate in the workshop and Q&A, and will be joined by studio founders Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo for a post-screening meet-and-greet.

This special event, hosted by SFFILM Education under its Family Programming initiative, is free and open to the public. Advance RSVP is required.
Children in attendance will also be eligible to win special Tonko House holiday prizes. The presentation will be followed by a meet-and-greet session where attendees will have an opportunity to get autographs and photos with all of our guests, including founders Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo.
Recommended for all ages. Program runtime is 90 minutes.
Ryan Matias grew up in San Diego, CA. After high school he was accepted into the prestigious Character Animation program at CalArts, where he earned his B.F.A. in 2012. Since then, he has worked as a Character Designer at several studios including Pixar, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, and is currently is the Character Design Lead at Tonko House.
JJ Song is in-studio visual development artist at Tonko House. She is the front line for the art department on a variety of projects using a range of mediums. Song began her animation career after graduating with a Visual Development MFA degree from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She had art directed The Dam Keeper Poems which is an Annecy award-winning series.
Lia Tin is an illustrator and art director at Tonko House. She loves to tell stories through pictures and working with her hands through sculpture and other types of crafts. When not making art, she likes to hang out with her dogs, cook, and experiment with new recipes.
