SFFILM’s Doc Congress is an annual convening of documentary funders, filmmakers, and distributors to build relationships and address the most pressing issues in nonfiction funding. This year’s program features a dynamic group discussion on AI in documentary with Srđan Keča, director of Stanford’s MFA in Documentary Film, and Rachel Antell, co-founder of the Archival Producers Alliance.

Doc Congress will also mark the launch of an inaugural Pitch Forum designed to amplify the voices of local documentary filmmakers. Filmmakers Samantha Berlanga, Adamu Chan, and Daniel Diaz will showcase their visions through five minute pitch presentations followed by vital group feedback from an audience representing different sectors of the nonfiction film industry.
