How Deep Is Your Love
Description
Fueled by the innate human desire to explore and uncover new terrains, 54 people and a robot embark on a 51-day scientific journey into the deep sea. As the expedition wades through the Pacific Ocean’s untamed Clarion Clipperton Fracture Zone, it discovers new lifeforms captured with sumptuous underwater cinematography. As much as there is a sense of wonder in encountering these never-before-seen creatures, there is also danger lurking in these waters: human greed. As scientists unlock the secrets of the ocean floor, mining companies gear up to extract minerals from these pristine depths. How Deep Is Your Love is a mesmerizing trip to a secret wonderland and a cautionary tale that invites us to rethink the relationship between exploration and exploitation. What is the ultimate cost of human wonder and our quest to demystify the unknown? —Bedatri Choudhury
