Description

Set in southern Ohio, this coming-of-age drama focuses on promising high-school graduate Ruth who should be thinking about college, but is instead forced to focus on saving the family home while her mom (Pamela Adlon) is in jail. She’s under the guardianship of her loving brother Blaze, but when they start working for a shady scrap-metal dealer, there are life-altering consequences. Suffused with expertly nuanced performances, the film is a deeply compassionate portrait of the day-to-day struggles present in America’s rust belt.

Closed captioning will be available for this film.
