Description

When their father’s health declines, three estranged sisters reunite in his New York apartment. As they confront their old resentments and navigate the emotional landscape of their father’s failing health, the sisters grapple with their fractured relationships. Director Azazel Jacobs’ assured direction and inventive use of small spaces captures the overwhelming complexities of familial bonds with impressive tenderness and humor. Career best performances from Natasha Lyonne, Elizabeth Olsen, and Carrie Coon infuse every frame with explosive energy and raw emotion as they embody three women grappling with the messy and beautiful legacy of an ailing parent.
