SFFILM Awards Night will be returning for the third year to the Palace of Fine Arts Exhibition Center, the recently renovated, spacious, and dynamic event space managed by Non Plus Ultra, San Francisco’s premiere events management company.
SFFILM’s prestigious awards include the Irving M. Levin Award for Film Direction, the SFFILM Award for Acting (formerly the Peter J. Owens Award for Acting), and the Kanbar Award for Storytelling, and the program is expected to expand to include new honors at this year’s event. SFFILM honorees throughout the years have included Amy Adams, Robert Altman, Kathryn Bigelow, Ellen Burstyn, Frances Ford Coppola, Judy Davis, Guillermo del Toro, Harrison Ford, Richard Gere, Emily V. Gordon & Kumail Nanjiani, Abbas Kiarostami, Spike Lee, Richard Linklater, Steve McQueen, Mira Nair, Robin Williams, and Kate Winslet, among many others.
The 2019 SFFILM Awards Night honorees will be announced in the coming months, along with additional detail regarding the evening’s program. This year’s event will be co-chaired by SFFILM Board members Gwyneth Borden, Heidi Fisher, and Sonya Yu.
