San Francisco, CA — The San Francisco Film Society has announced that it will present An Evening with Aardman Animations, celebrating the stop-motion powerhouse with an onstage conversation following a special advance screening of their new film Shaun the Sheep Movie, Tuesday August 4, 6:30 pm at Landmark’s Clay Theatre. Co-directors Mark Burton and Richard Starzak will be in attendance and will discuss their creative process and answer audience questions following a screening of their latest feature film, based on the hit television series.
“We’re huge fans of Aardman Animations and Shaun the Sheep in particular has had a special place in our hearts ever since his 1996 appearance at the San Francisco International Film Festival in A Close Shave,” said Rachel Rosen, SFFS Director of Programming. “We’re very lucky to have these wonderful Aardman directors join us for what is sure to be a delightful evening for fans of all ages.”
About the film: When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
