Writer/Director Bing Liu

Bing Liu is a Chicago-based filmmaker best known for the Academy Award- and Emmy-nominated documentary Minding the Gap, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and went on to win a Peabody Award. Liu is a 2017 Film Independent Fellow and Garrett Scott Development Grant recipient. Liu is the recipient of the 2020 Sundance Institute Asian American Fellowship, made possible in part by the A3 Foundation. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Producer Jason Berman

Jason Michael Berman is the President of Mandalay Pictures. Berman has produced feature films that have debuted at premiere film festivals around the globe, including the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, SXSW, Tribeca, Berlinale, and Edinburgh. Berman was named in the 2016 Variety Dealmakers Impact Report, in Variety in 2011 as one of the Top Ten Producers to Watch, and by Deadline Hollywood in 2012 as one of the Top Ten Producers to Watch at Sundance.

Producer Angela Lee

Angela C. Lee is a Spirit Award-nominated producer whose first feature film Songs My Brothers Taught Me (with director Chloé Zhao), premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival, Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and distributed by Kino Lorber. She also produced the fiction short The Row (with director Philiane Phang), commissioned by Indigenous Media and distributed by Condé Nast Entertainment. Angela is a 2018 Women at Sundance Fellow, and has been supported by the Berlinale Talents, Film Independent, IFP, PGA Diversity Workshop, Sundance Institute Creative Producing Lab, and CAAM.

Producer Diane Quon

Diane is an Academy and Emmy award-nominated producer with over 17 years of marketing experience at NBC and Paramount Pictures. Diane produced Kartemquin Films documentaries Minding the Gap, The Dilemma of Desire, and Finding Yingying. She is developing a film based on the book Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Diane is an Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Member, 2019 Sundance Creative Producing Fellow, a 2019 IFP Cannes Producers Fellow, 2018 Film Independent Fellow, a Producers Guild of America Member, and recipient of the 2020 Cinereach Producer Award.
