Golden Gate Award Competitions
Presented at the Festival since its inaugural year in 1957, the GGAs are among the most significant awards for emerging global and independent film artists in the United States. Prizes will be awarded by independent juries in 13 narrative, documentary, mid-length, and short film categories within these four areas:

- Mid-Length Films
- New Directors
- Short Films
